Robot welding?
Robot welding
Because we continuously improve and automate, we robotized the welding process a few years ago. By choosing exactly the right configurations for robot welding, the most diverse and high-quality welding work can be carried out at low costs and with fast delivery times.
Advantages of robot welding
The use of welding robots has the following advantages for us, and therefore ultimately for you as a client:
The use of a welding robot ensures significant cost savings because fewer man hours are required. The quality of welding robots has been proven to be high and consistent, with an above-average throughput speed.
Large working range
The welding robots from Baas Metaal BV have sufficient power and a high-tech system that allows products measuring approximately 3 by 2 meters to be finished with extreme precision. With larger dimensions, the welding robot can take up parts of the product. The purchased seam search and seam tracking system guarantees the correct and consistent welding quality.
When is it wise not to opt for robot welding?
Depending on the flexibility required per job, the use of a manual welder is recommended. In addition, the use of a welding robot places higher demands on the welding jig.
Boss thinks along with you
Baas Metaal BV offers support with any (re)design of the product, to optimize it for the use of a welding robot. By reviewing the complexity and number of parts of a product in consultation, the total production time is shortened, while the functionality of your product is retained.
Robot welding with
by Panasonic VR006L
This is one of the largest welding robots in Panasonic’s program. This robot arm is controlled by a computer, the pre-programmed welding work can be carried out completely independently. The arm can move over multiple axes. The welding electrode is located at the end of this arm. MIG/MAG is the welding process that we use with this welding robot, this welding method does not require pre-treatment and can be used in all positions. We chose this welding method because it is easy to automate and is relatively cheap. In addition, it has a fairly high deposition rate and does not require any post-treatment. The welding robot works with an H-frame, the workpiece is clamped on one side and welded on the other.
