Sheet metal fabrication
Sheet metal fabrication is cutting, bending and assembling flat material into a product: a cabinet, an enclosure, a panel or a bracket.
From sheet to product
Sheet metal fabrication is not a single operation but a chain: cutting, bending, joining and finishing. Each step fixes something for the next. A hole that can no longer be reached after bending has to come first; a seam that stays visible determines how it is welded.
What we look at
- the bending sequence, and whether the product can still be handled in that order
- radius and flange length, and whether the material can take them
- how the parts position each other during assembly
- which mounting points can already be in the sheet, instead of being welded on
What we need from you
A drawing or 3D model, the material and the quantities. If the design is not fixed yet, we prefer to look at it sooner rather than later: changing it on paper costs less than changing it in steel.
